This training will communicate the requirements and process for states to request a WIOA waiver and will provide information regarding available tools and resources for developing strong waiver requests.
Description
This webinar will provide information regarding the Secretary's waiver authority to increase flexibility and maximize innovation under WIOA. Learn about waiver request requirements, considerations for developing a strong request to advance state strategic goals, and the process states must follow to submit waiver requests to the Department of Labor. We will share key points from Training and Employment Guidance Letter (TEGL) NO. 8-18 and provide state examples for developing quality waiver requests.
