This webcast provides information on how states can use eligible training provider lists to reduce be mitigate benefit cliffs.
In this webcast, Nick Moore, the Director of the Governor’s Office of Education, highlights how Alabama is using the State’s eligible training provider (ETP) list in creative ways to help mitigate benefit cliffs, extend economic resiliency, and to forge pathways to self-sufficiency for WIOA participants. Mr. Moore describes the State’s "no-wrong-door" approach to the public workforce system, and how the State uses the ETP list to reduce the impact of the cliff effect on Alabamians who are transitioning from public assistance to paid employment so that they have a more seamless transition into the labor force; and to provide a pathway to competency-based education and workforce training programs that develops a demand-driven talent ecosystem.
