    The AJC Customer Flow Scenarios have been highly successful as a resource for American Job Center (AJC) customers and as a staff training tool. To expand their usefulness to a broader customer base there is now a Spanish translation for each scenario. Like the original scenarios, these are best utilized as a discussion guide when assisting a customer to identify and achieve their goals.

    We know that many in the system are diligently working towards meeting the July 1, 2017 deadline to have a one-stop operator in place as the result of a competitive procurement process, and many more have submitted questions to the U.S. Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration (ETA). As a result of these questions, ETA has produced five new FAQs regarding competitive selection of a one-stop operator and various roles in the one-stop system.

    The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) requires the state workforce development board, in consultation with chief elected officials and local workforce development boards, to establish objective criteria and procedures to use when certifying its American Job Centers (AJCs).

    Many states and local areas have expressed a need for tools that help American Job Centers (AJCs) coordinate staff and partners to work collaboratively across programs. This newly released tool features five illustrated stories that represent scenarios of customer experiences and the guidance an AJC staff member might provide. These stories demonstrate the characteristics of a high-quality one-stop center, as described in TEGL 04-15. To view this resource, click here.
