No matter how exciting the trip is, it’s better with a map you can trust. We know that implementing the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) has been a ride, and we want to help you as you continue to navigate to success.
To that end, the U.S. Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration (ETA) has updated or developed the following resources on the Innovation and Opportunity Network (ION) in hopes they will be of assistance on your WIOA implementation journey.
This updated Roadmap expands on the previous version, published last spring, and outlines the guidance and technical assistance activities that ETA has provided and will provide to support implementation of WIOA.
We know ION has become your go-to resource for WIOA implementation and connecting to the community of partners and your colleagues across the country. On ION, you’ll find links to guidance documents, technical assistance, and training tools developed not only by the U.S. Department of Labor but by and with our Federal partner agencies. We have continued to make enhancements to the ION site in order to ensure maximum functionality and ease. The latest of these include a new Focus Areas navigation tab that offers a host of resources on 11 key elements of WIOA.
If you are looking to share ION with others or a visual reminder of what this dynamic WorkforceGPS Community of Practice has to offer, check out our new ION One-Pager.
Looking for ways to train, engage, and inform your staff and board? Don’t miss WIOA Wednesdays—your regular online vehicle (held every week on Wednesday, from 3:00-4:00 p.m. Eastern) for the latest WIOA implementation technical assistance.
Make sure you don’t miss a single one by printing out our new WIOA Wednesday Printable Schedule & Desk Aid.
