The Innovation and Opportunity Network (ION) Community of Practice is excited to announce the debut of new resources: WIOA MythBusters
Myths perceived as fact can interfere with the ability of States to fully implement an integrated workforce development system envisioned under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). Myths thought to be true may result from a misunderstanding of the law and regulations and from a lack of experience with other workforce development system partners.
The myth-busters provided in this series are based on jointly issued guidance by the Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration (ETA), the Department of Education’s Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education (OCTAE), and the Department of Education’s Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services’ Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA), and the Department of Health and Human Services’ Administration for Children and Families (ACF).
The aim is to offer a few of the myths that the Federal partners have collectively heard from the workforce system and to provide the actual fact to dispel the myth.
There are currently four MythBusters posted on the site (see below), and new content is being added every couple weeks.
