    The Employment and Training Administration (ETA) has issued a Training and Employment Guidance Letter (TEGL) that lays out the vision for the one-stop delivery system under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).  TEGL 4-15 provides links to key technical assistance resources that can support states and local areas, as they incorporate or enhance this vision in their integrated one-stop delivery system.

    ETA held a National Convening of workforce leadership for implementing the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).   States were invited to form teams with leaders representing partners and key stakeholders implementing the WIOA to attend the event.

    The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, signed by President Obama, and administered by the U.S. Department of Labor includes an increased emphasis on entrepreneurship skill building for youth, individuals with disabilities, Indian and Native Americans, and unemployed adults and includes new provisions to allow training resources for entrepreneurship training.

    The Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education (OCTAE) launched the LINCS Learner Center to direct adult learners to high quality resources related to education, training, and foundational skills.  LINCS stands for Literacy Information and Communication System.  OCTAE was pleased to offer this new resource during the 2015 National Adult Education and Family Literacy Week.
