TA Webcasts Available on the Development and Submission of State WIOA Strategic Plan

ETA Announces Change 1 to WIOA Training and Employment Guidance Letter (TEGL)

On November 2, 1018, ETA issued Change 1 to TEGL No. 16-17. This guidance provides states with revised allotment levels for WIOA Adult and DW FY 2019 funds, which became available to states in October 2018. Change 1 to TEGL 16-17 restores the set-aside for evaluations to the funding available to states in October 2018.

AJC Customer Flow Scenarios now available in Spanish

The AJC Customer Flow Scenarios have been highly successful as a resource for American Job Center (AJC) customers and as a staff training tool. To expand their usefulness to a broader customer base there is now a Spanish translation for each scenario. Like the original scenarios, these are best utilized as a discussion guide when assisting a customer to identify and achieve their goals.

Abridged Version of Universal Design Webinar Now Available

Last spring, in March of 2017, the Innovation and Opportunity Network (ION) hosted a WIOA Wednesday on universal design and taking a customer-centered approach in the American Job Center. Although you can always access the event’s recording, the WorkforceGPS Team understands you might not have an hour to dedicate to watching it. That’s why we have created an abridged version that’s less than three minutes long, as well as an executive summary of the full event.

2017 WIOA National Covenings Resources Available

This spring, the U.S. Department of Labor, in collaboration with its Education and Health and Human Services partners, will host three national convenings. These convenings will continue to support WIOA implementation, building upon the regulations and guidance, virtual training, and resources already available to the system.
